XM Cloud Forms is excited to introduce the following new features:
You can now populate values and labels automatically for select, multi select, radio button, and checkbox field items using data stored as a JSON array that is accessible via a URL. For example, you might want to add a list of checkboxes representing various countries to your form. By using a JSON array containing the country data, you can easily create the check box labels with just a couple of clicks.
You can also now specify field data using query parameters in the URL of the page that includes the form. For example, a customer is browsing products on a website and they want to request information for a specific product by filling out a form. To save the customer time, Forms can automatically complete any field values related to the selected product, meaning the customer only has to enter information that is unique to their query.
Responding to customers request, we have added the following notes in the documentation:
To create and edit forms, you need the Admin role for your organization. Contact your system administrator to request the access rights as needed.
If you experience issues with Forms, contact your system administrator to ensure that SITECORE_EDGE_CONTEXT_ID is set as environment variable in your front-end application, for example Vercel.
