We’re delighted to announce an important update for Sitecore Personalize that enhances the accuracy and reliability of your experiment results. We’ve introduced minimum and maximum limits for key parameters in the sample size calculator. This ensures more consistent and accurate results by preventing unrealistic parameter values that could skew your data.
From now on, all new experiments will be automatically validated against these limits to ensure proper configuration. If you attempt to restart an existing paused experiment with parameters outside the permitted range, you’ll be prompted to adjust them before proceeding.
This update does not affect the default values of the sample size parameters. Here’s a summary of the default values and the new minimum and maximum limits:
Parameter | Default | Minimum | Maximum |
---|---|---|---|
Base Rate | 2% | 0.5% | 50% |
Minimum Detectable Difference | 20% | 1% | 50% |
Confidence Level | 95% | 80% | 99% |
